Elizabeth Young

Principal | Co-founder
Elizabeth brings 30 years of professional experience and a comprehensive background in architectural design, facilitation and project management. She has successfully completed a wide variety of project types from education master plans, civic buildings, and healthcare facilities to commercial, residential and historic preservation renovations. 

Elizabeth uses her communicative and programming skills to bring diverse constituencies together. In concert with clients, agencies and users, she collaboratively generates the critical ideas and ably communicates the necessary outreach to all of the involved parties. She is committed to realizing project goals through design excellence and remains involved in all phases of programming, design and construction processes.

She has worked in Seattle, San Francisco and with Frei Otto in Stuttgart Germany. Elizabeth is also an active member of the community, having been a member of the Historic Preservation Commission, a credentialed Historic Preservation Architect by the Secretary of Interior. and currently part of the Treasure Valley Food Coalition and a Public Member of the Idaho State Board of Medicine.



Her projects have been published and reviewed in numerous venues and received multiple awards. 



Elizabeth has been actively involved in academia as a lecturer and guest critic for over 17 years with the University of Idaho. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho as well as a Master of Building Design from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Design.
